Conserve Energy Door Hangers
The work for IHG involved creating door hangers for Hotel Indigo Cardiff. The purpose of these door hangers was to reduce energy consumption in the hotel, resulting in a greener hotel for guests. How this idea works is completely in the hands of the guests. They have the choice to opt-in not to have their room cleaned during their stay, as result they will receive 500 IHG member reward points to use during their next stay or a voucher for the hotel’s bar.
It was really important in the first draft to get the layout correct. This would set me in good stead for the next two drafts where I was able to focus more on brand identity by making the design specific to the location of hotel. A unique factor that Hotel Indigo’s are known for.
Whilst reading through the brand collateral I had come across several illustrations unique to Wales (i.e. Dragons, Love Spoons etc). It was very important to keep this door hanger within the brand guidelines of hotel indigo. The Hotel Indigo brand identity offers a quirky uniqueness like no other and each Indigo hotel is unique to its own location. Therefore this design encompasses a welsh themed sheep illustration that includes the brand colours of Hotel Indigo.
